Opened: January 1, 1926
Bear Down Gym, originally known as The Men's Gymnasium, is a multi-purpose arena in Tucson, Arizona. It opened in 1926. It was home to the University of Arizona Wildcats basketball team. It was replaced when the McKale Center opened in 1973. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Bear Down Gym was constructed in 1926 to replace Herring Hall, the original gymnasium. It was originally named, The Men's Gymnasium. It's a two story brick structure noted for its curved roof, large semicircular and deeply recessed entry with copper-clad window frames. The main level provided basketball courts and room for gymnastics, while the lower level contained locker rooms, office and space for the Department of Military Science and Tactics. At one time, the building seated about 3,600 spectators and was used not only for sports, but for dances and annual registration activities.

Bear Down Gym is also famous for its inclusion in the 1984 blockbuster film Revenge of the Nerds. It was the gymnasium of the fictional "Adams College" and also temporary home to the Nerds after they were kicked out of their original Freshmen home (Cochise Hall).
