McQuiddy Gymnasium is an indoor arena located on the campus of Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. The first game in the gym was on November 28, 1949 with Lipscomb playing against Vanderbilt University with Vanderbilt beating the Bisons 62-39 in front of 3,300 fans. Lipscomb trailed by a score of only 22-19 at halftime. President Athens Clay Pullias dedicated the gym, while Vice President Willard Collins was the master of ceremonies. The whole ceremony was broadcasted live on WKDA radio by the description of play-by-play announcer Larry Munson.

The gym sat 3,247 spectators for basketball games, while 5,000 could easily be placed for staged programs. As many as 6,000 people have been crowded into the gym on special occasions.

Before moving into McQuiddy, Bison basketball teams played in the old Nashville Army Air Force Center or in Burton Gymnasium. Burton Gym was the site of many home games, although the court length was only 64 feet, 30 feet short of the regulation distance.

Served as the home gym for the Vanderbilt Commodores from 1949-1952 while Memorial Gymnasium was being constructed on Vanderbilt's campus.
